Blending shimmering synths with an upbeat dance-pop sound, Anticipating captures the excitement of looking forward to a new romance. Co-written by Britney Spears, the song pays homage to the disco influences of the late 1970s and showcases a brighter, carefree side of the Britney album. Although never released worldwide as a single, it became a promotional favorite and remains a beloved deep cut among fans.
