Recorded during the sessions for Britney (2001), She'll Never Be Me is an unreleased pop ballad about the lingering confidence that no one can replace a past love. Blending emotional lyrics with soaring melodies, the song showcases Britney's more mature vocal delivery during the Britney era. Although it was ultimately left off the album, the track leaked online years later and has since become one of the most celebrated unreleased recordings in her catalog.
